Ingredients

  • cup oil, see notes
  • 1 shallot, quartered
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely sliced
  • 3 tbsp red chili flakes
  • tbsp golden mountain sauce

Instructions

  • Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat.
  • Add the sliced garlic and shallots, and cook slowly until golden and fragrant.
  • Turn off the heat.
  • Stir in the chili flakes and golden mountain sauce.
  • Let the oil cool completely.
  • Transfer to a jar and store.
