Equipment

  • Espresso machine, moka pot, French press, or coffee maker
  • Tall serving glass
  • Spoon or stirrer

Ingredients

  • ice, enough to fill the glass
  • 1 cup coconut water, or enough to almost fill the glass
  • 2 oz espresso, I use a double espresso shot

Instructions

  • Brew the coffee: Prepare espresso or strong coffee. Let it cool slightly if needed.
  • Fill the glass with ice: Add plenty of ice to a tall serving glass.
  • Add coconut water: Pour the chilled coconut water over the ice.
  • Pour in the coffee: Slowly pour the coffee over the coconut water.
  • Adjust and serve: Taste and add milk, creamer, or sweetener if desired. Serve immediately while cold.
